I’m building a team of fitness coaches and I’m always looking for positive, like-minded people to join us end the trend of obesity while we get in the best shape of our lives.

A few things to consider before applying:

#1 — It doesn’t matter your age, fitness level, or expertise but, you must be willing and ready to get into the best shape of your life using nationally recognized fitness programs and nutrition – I will be coaching you not only on the business, but on best practices in nutrition and fitness. There is absolutely NO NEED to be at your goal body already, but you must be willing to lead by example and be a product of the products!

#2 – You must FULLY commit to completing ALL coach training assignments and agree to living OUTSIDE of your comfort zone! It’s my goal to help others fit their work around their LIFE, rather than fitting their life around their WORK.

#3 – You must be COACHABLE & COMMITTED. I am going to openly share in just 60 days what took me THOUSANDS of hours and HUNDREDS of mistakes to learn about and master this business! What I require in return is for you to meet me half way and want, will for and work for your success as much as I do.

If you have longed for more freedom, more financial stability, to make a difference and to be connected to people who are doing the same. . . This just may be the opportunity you have been looking for. I am accepting applications until the end of the month and will start our training on Sept 8th!

Want to find out how you can be a part-time coach so you can be a full-time mom?

If you have been following my journey you know I started my coaching opportunity in January of 2013 by being a client of Insanity and Shakeology. I wanted to gain control again of my life and my body. I was working full-time at a busy fine dining restaurant in Shell Beach because it was easy to work my schedule around kids but it meant I missed Saturday soccer games and back to school nights.transformation 2013 to 2014 tawnya jean

As I was losing weight and getting healthy a lot of other moms were asking what I was doing. The thought hadn’t occurred to me that I could help other people and earn enough income to stay home with my kids but my DBF sure thought of it. He was like, “babe, you’re helping so many people and your checks keep getting bigger. You really need to think about how to make this a business so you can stay home.”

Say what!? By the time he thought of that it was around March and I had already made close to $2500 in bonuses and commissions. So with the help of the upline coaches on my team I decided to put my head down and work. If the kids were away or asleep I was working. Finding other moms like me that wanted to get back the energy and youthfulness they lost somewhere between diapers and mac n cheese.

Moms that were sick and tired of being sick and tired. In 6 months, I paid off my debt and paid my car in full. I qualified to go on a free rewards vacation cruise to Cozumel & Grand Cayman, and I FIRED MY BOSS!!! Was this a get rich quick scheme? Nope. Was it easy. Nope. It took me being willing to change my way of thinking, hear the word no, and keep pressing on. It meant I had to get up early and usually go to bed late. It meant my toilets weren’t always clean. But you know what. The look on my childrens face when I told them I get to tuck them in every night and won’t miss another school talent show was worth every single failure, defeat, upset, or hiccup in my journey.jump facebook momma t banner

I would not live my life any other way from here on out. If you feel like you’re lost, or if you just need that SOMETHING MORE, then follow my steps to find out how I went from part-time coach to full-time mom. I have a team of over 1000 coaches on this journey with me and we won’t stop until we’ve asked each and every person on the planet to join our fit to live our lives by design.

I am my own boss. How I manage myself.

no bossIt’s something I’m learning. How I manage myself – as a CEO and entrepreneur. I am my own boss. How do I manage myself? It’s a great question. Here are the ways that I’ve learned to manage myself and make sure I get things done:

  1. I wake up early. My goal is to try to be up and workout before my kids are up. Since it’s summertime, the kids wake up between 8:00 and 9:00 am, so I try to start my day by at least 7am. During the school year they are up between 6:30 and 7:00 am, so I try to be up by 5:30 am.  It helps me feel like I got a head start on my day.
  2. I start with something productive. I don’t get on my phone or computer until my workout is in and done. And, instead of checking my emails first thing when I open my computer, I start with the most stressful thing on my to-do list. This helps me feel accomplished and not like I spend all day answering emails.
  3. I try to keep phone calls to a minimum. I’ve never be a fan of talking on the phone but, it’s easy to babble away to my customers and coaches about everything that we have going on and it ends up being counter-productive. I’ve really tried to watch my time on the phone and hangouts so that it gives me time to actually produce work.
  4. I close all social media down. I try (I really do) to ignore Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. during my scheduled productivity time when I’m sitting at my computer and only go on during the allotted 15 minutes morning, noon, and night.
  5. I block out productivity time. Every morning, I look at my to-do list, pick the three most important things that I need to get accomplished for the day, and block out time in my schedule to complete them. This way it’s in the calendar, I am in the mindset of what I’m working on, and I get more done while I’m focused.
  6. I compile my to-do lists at 5pm. Towards the end of my day, I try not to wrap up before taking 20 minutes to compile all of my random notes and to-do lists for the day. This way I make sure that I didn’t forget to send anything out. As I’m compiling the list, I put together my to-do list for the morning. This helps to ensure that I dive right into a productive work day first thing in the morning. It gives me less time to surf the web or my Facebook newsfeed.
  7. I track my goals and realign them weekly. You have to know where you want to go before you can get there. I make it a point to analyze my goals and make sure they are in line with my productivity time each week. Once I know what my goals are I can set my daily, weekly, and monthly to do lists to keep me on track.

What are your tips for managing yourself and your business?

10 ways to stay mentally healthy and 50 healthy habits

Enjoying mental health means having a sense of well-being, being able to function during everyday life and feeling confident to rise to a challenge when the opportunity arises. Just like your physical health, there are actions you can take to increase your mental health. Boost your well-being and stay mentally healthy by following a few simple steps.

  1. Connect with others. Develop and maintain strong relationships with people around you who will support and enrich your life. The quality of our personal relationships has a great effect on our well-being. Putting time and effort into building strong relationships can bring great rewards.
  2. Take time to enjoy. Set aside time for activities, hobbies and projects you enjoy. Let yourself be spontaneous and creative when the urge takes you. Do a crossword; take a walk in your local park; read a book; sew a quilt; draw pictures with your kids; play with your pets – whatever tickles your fancy.
  3. Participate and share interests. Join a club or group of people who share your interests. Being part of a group of people with a common interest provides a sense of belonging and is good for your mental health. Join a sports club; a band; an evening walking group; a dance class; a theater or choir group; a book or car club.
  4. Contribute to your community. Volunteer your time for a cause or issue that you care about. Help out a neighbor, work in a garden or do something nice for a friend. There are many great ways to contribute that can help you feel good about yourself and your place in the world. An effort to improve the lives of others is sure to improve your life too.
  5. Take care of yourself. Be active and eat well – these help maintain a healthy body. Physical and mental health are closely linked; it’s easier to feel good about life if your body feels good. You don’t have to go to the gym to exercise – home workouts, gardening, vacuuming, and dancing all count. Combine physical activity with a balanced diet to nourish your body and mind and keep you feeling good, inside and out.
  6. Challenge yourself. Learn a new skill or take on a challenge to meet a goal. You could take on something different at work; commit to a fitness goal or learn to cook a new recipe. Learning improves your mental fitness, while striving to meet your own goals builds skills and confidence and gives you a sense of progress and achievement.
  7. Deal with stress. Be aware of what triggers your stress and how you react. You may be able to avoid some of the triggers and learn to prepare for or manage others. Stress is a part of life and affects people in different ways. It only becomes a problem when it makes you feel uncomfortable or distressed. A balanced lifestyle can help you manage stress better. If you have trouble winding down, you may find that relaxation breathing, yoga or meditation can help.
  8. Rest and refresh. Get plenty of sleep. Go to bed at a regular time each day and practice good habits to get better sleep. Sleep restores both your mind and body. However, feelings of fatigue can still set in if you feel constantly rushed and overwhelmed when you are awake. Allow yourself some unfocussed time each day to refresh; for example, let your mind wander, daydream or simply watch the clouds go by for a while. It’s OK to add ‘do nothing’ to your to-do list!
  9. Notice the here and now. Take a moment to notice each of your senses each day. Simply ‘be’ in the moment – feel the sun and wind on your face and notice the air you are breathing. It’s easy to be caught up thinking about the past or planning for the future instead of experiencing the present. Practicing mindfulness, by focusing your attention on being in the moment, is a good way to do this. Making a conscious effort to be aware of your inner and outer world is important for your mental health.
  10. Ask for help. This can be as simple as asking a friend to babysit while you have some time out or speaking to your doctor (GP) about where to find a counselor or community mental health service. The perfect, worry-free life does not exist. Everyone’s life journey has bumpy bits and the people around you can help. If you don’t get the help you need first off, keep asking until you do.

50 healthy ways

Be THEE best version of YOU

Your best youThere is ALWAYS going to be someone better than you – stronger than you – younger than you – smarter then you – more athletic then you – faster than you – more attractive than you – AND richer then you!

Did that depress you?

If it did, keep reading, because…

It doesn’t matter!

I am not going to even get into the whole “appearances are deceiving” aspect and the “nobody is perfect” topic.  Instead, let’s talk about something that DOES matter. What does matter is that YOU can ALWAYS work to be a better version of YOU and that is independent of what anyone else is doing.

Work to be your best YOU

SS Beachbody and misc 294It is impossible to try and be somebody else. It is impossible because that “somebody else” already exists. You can NEVER be somebody else no matter how hard you try. It is a waste of time wishing for that and it causes envy which is a wasted emotion.  What you can do is you can ALWAYS work to be your best you. You can always be a smarter, stronger and BETTER version of YOU.

Do you want to be a better version of you?

Decide “How BAD do you want IT?” Do you want it bad enough to do what it takes? Are you willing to put in the extra hours and go the extra mile? Do you feel you are worthy of being a better you. Decide that you want to work for it and decide that you will stop comparing yourself to others.

Understand that you will have to work for it. There is a solution for everyone if you want to find it. There is a formula for EVERYONE. It may be harder for you, it may take longer for you, and there may be more obstacles for you. That doesn’t matter because there is a formula for everyone including you!  If you want it bad enough and if you are willing to WORK for it, you CAN find a solution that will work for you!  Remember, you can ALWAYS become a better you.

Recognize that every step forward is a step in the right direction. Every step forward is STILL a step forward! Let go of the “I have to do all or nothing” and be PROUD at the strides you are making in the RIGHT direction. Instead of looking at how far you HAVE to go, look at how far you have come! Think what you can add RIGHT to your day instead of beating yourself up over what you think you did wrong.

Many people compare themselves to others when it comes losing weight, getting fit, becoming a success. Many people compare to MANY others. The problem is that all of this comparing does NOTHING to help YOU become a better you.

Say you are bummed out because your friend just ran a marathon and you feel you could never do that. Instead of being bummed out, start taking action and do what she did…go jog around the block. That action alone is a step forward in the right direction and gets you one step further to YOUR goals. Sitting there envying her and 487 profile piccomplaining about why it is “easier for her” does nothing to help you.

So instead of pondering WHY someone else has more than YOU, take the time to decide how bad you want it and decide how HARD you are willing to WORK FOR it!

Start with Why

What is your “WHY?”

“I have tried so many times, BUT…”

“I need to workout but can’t find the time…”

“I can’t seem to stay (or get) motivated”BECAUSE I WANT TO LOOK GOOD

“It is too hard to eat right…”

“I workout for a day or two, I don’t see results, so I stop…”

Are any of these you? If you are looking for answers on fixing the above I am going to turn this back to you and ask a very important question:  What is your why?

The KEY to your Success

It is impossible to stay committed and determined to do ANYTHING unless you know your “WHY”.  The “why” is the REAL reason, the DRIVING reason that you WANT to change, workout, get healthy, or whatever it is that you truly want to do.

You can’t change for someone else and you can’t change for non significant reasons. You can ONLY change if your WHY becomes important and visible.

How do you find your why?

Block out some time and put a lot of thought into this. WHAT is your why?

Flip through magazines and see what appeals to you and consider making a vision board which can help reveal some deep desires and why’s to you. Do some soul searching and get serious in your thinking here.

Is it for health?
To feel GREAT daily?
For more energy?
To be around and active for your children?
There is no wrong “why”, it just needs to have meaning and be personal to YOU!

Along those lines, you can’t take somebody else’s why and make it yours.  Doesn’t matter that your family, doctor, friends, etc., think something should be important to you.  YOU have to make it important to YOU!

Once you get to the route of what your “why” is, it CHANGES and DRIVES you.  All of a sudden solutions will start presenting themselves to your problems.  The hurdles become crystal clear and you start to take action and make things happen.  All because you found out what dives you, you found your why.

Discovering ywhy and howour WHY is the most important step to changing as it gets your mind right.  It is a critical first step that I include in my programs because once you find your “why” and your mind is focused, you cannot be stopped!

When your mind is active and focused on positive things, you WILL get positive results the exact same way an unsure and unfocused mind gets poor results.

If you are ready to make a change and find the answer to whatever your dilemma may be (no time, lack of motivation, etc.),  FIND YOUR WHY …and the answer will come to you.

Step away from that Comfort Zone!

When is the last time you left your Comfort Zone?

When was the last time that you stepped out of your comfort zone and worked on something that REALLY challenged you?  When you felt uncomfortable?  When you were in ‘uncharted territory’ for yourself?

We don’t progress and we don’t change when we stay in our comfort zones.

This applies to EVERYTHING in life.

  • We don’t get better bodies without progressing and changing our workouts.success street
  • We don’t get healthier without changing our poor habits and making better choices.
  • We don’t create better relationships without putting in effort and choosing to surround ourselves with the right people.
  • We don’t ADVANCE in our work environment or business without continually progressing, learning and accepting new challenges AND
  • MOST CERTAINLY don’t advance towards our personal GOALS without stepping out of our comfort zone and working on things that challenge us.

Comfort zones are COMFORTABLE but they do NOTHING to help us advance towards our goals.

challenge changeI challenge myself with my body all of the time and I remind myself regularly with my business and life goals to STEP OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE and challenge myself.

I have been working  for the past few months non-stop developing new training programs to propel my business.

It challenges me, it creates doubts, it frustrates me , it beats me up some days (like yesterday) and it makes me humble.

Why do I continue?

Because I KNOW that with these experiences comes welcome change and THAT is how we reach our goals.

Oh and about this project…the one that humbles me, I can’t wait to share it with you!

Are you curious, even just a little bit?

If so, and you want to get on a special ‘first to know’ list, then CLICK HERE, and stay tuned in the coming weeks for the ‘big announcement’ from me.   This is something that a LOT of people have been asking for…and I am very excited to deliver it to you!

STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and work on something that CHALLENGES yourself this week!  I know I have…

Excuses or Solutions…YOU Decide!!
